Operationalizing Reconciliation: Programming and Policy Approaches at University College of the North

University College of the North (UCN) provides training and educational opportunities in northern Manitoba through a blended university/college programming model. Academic programming and training opportunities are offered at two main campuses and UCN services more than 12 Mihcet MeskanawahTeaching & Learning Centres throughout the north. This session provides an overview of UCN’s approaches to advancing reconciliation. It will include an overview of UCN’s Mining Readiness Training and existing partnerships, partnerships to strengthen health care in Northern Manitoba, as well as curriculum based approaches to Indigenization and applied research within northern Manitoba contexts.
