Oren Cass is the chief economist and founder of American Compass, a conservative think tank focused on restoring an economic consensus that emphasizes family, community, and industry. Previously, Oren was a senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute, where he authored the landmark book The Once and Future Worker, now required reading for young conservatives. He holds a J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School, where he was vice president and treasurer of the Harvard Law Review. He also served as Domestic Policy Director for Governor Mitt Romney’s 2012 presidential campaign. Oren will join us to explore how changes in U.S. economic and labour policy is shaping post-secondary education in North America and their broader implications for Canada.
