CICan and IIC are committed to significantly reducing the climate and other environmental impacts of its symposium, the majority of which are travel related. To support us in this effort, we encourage you to consider these sustainable travel options:

Getting to and from Calgary

  • Choose direct flights when possible – fewer connections mean lower emissions
  • Pack light – less weight on board means less fuel burned
  • Offset your carbon footprint by purchasing verified carbon credits from a trusted provider
  • Consider lower-emission options like inter-city bus travel or carpooling if you’re coming from nearby

When you arrive:

  • Bring a reusable water bottle to use at on-site refill stations
  • Sort your waste responsibly—compost, recycling, and waste bins will be clearly marked

Opt out of daily hotel room cleaning to reduce energy and water consumption
